Self-employed clown wins inaugural Investor of the Year Award

Last year, Your Investment Property magazine teamed up with Investors Direct to search for Australia's leading property investor. From contractors to conveyancers, office workers to optometrists, a diverse range of investors from all around Australia and all walks of life sought to win the $40,000+ worth of cash and prizes.

An expert panel of judges was given the challenging task of whittling down the extensive range of entries and choosing three finalists, with the final accolade going to just one investor. The basis of the award was not restricted to the dollar-value performance of an investor's portfolio. Other key factors included property selection, risk management and ethics.

When it comes to property investing, there are no hard and fast rules. As seen in the strategies of the winner and runners-up of the Investor of the Year Award 2008, what works for one investor can be completely different from what brings results for another.

Your Investment Property is proud to announce the winner of our inaugural Investor of the Year Award, the two runners-up and the winners of the Readers' Choice Awards 2008.
