CoreLogic RP Data has released a list of the top 10 regional suburbs with the most affordable housing in Australia, with the NSW suburb of Broken Hill emerging on top.
 
Broken Hill, an isolated mining town in outback NSW near the border of South Australia, recorded a median house value of $160,580.
 
The amount is $170,000 cheaper than a parking space in Sydney’s CBD which hit $300,000 earlier this year. A three-bedroom property can cost just $159,000 in Broken Hill, The Daily Mail reported.
 
Four NSW suburbs made it in the top 10, five were from Victoria and one was from South Australia.
