Transport Mutual Credit Union is a member-owned credit union that was formed in 1964 to support the financial needs of the staff of the NSW Department of Main Roads and their families. Formerly the RTA Staff Credit Union, it was renamed as the Transport Mutual Credit Union in 2012. Its new name reflects a more inclusive approach to future business growth, giving the credit union the ability to appeal to potential members within the broader transport industry, as well as avoids the need for further name changes resulting from government changes in the transport sector.
Transport Mutual Credit Union is based in Surry Hills, NSW. You can contact the credit union by visiting its branch, online, via email or a general customer service phone line.
When you join the credit union, you will enjoy the benefits of belonging to a community-based banking organisation that values you. Though it meets the same regulatory standards as banks, it guarantees to serve customers first. As a credit union, it employs the Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice, which ensures that all payment fees and exception fees are fair to you and that you always have access to the right advice.
Transport Mutual Credit Union provides financial products including home loans, personal loans, car loans, savings accounts and term deposits, superannuation, and insurance products. It also offers financial services ranging from investment and general advice to financial planning services. In terms of home loans, it offers flexible repayment features and loan options that are suitable for small deposits.
To be able to apply for a home loan with Transport Mutual Credit Union, you must become a member first. To become a member, you will need to complete a membership application form and pay a $10 membership share. You can submit your application via email, in-branch, as well as via post or fax.
