The latest National Land Survey Program has found Jordan Springs (located 7kms from the Penrith city centre) as Australia’s best-selling residential project for 2014, with its sales volumes topping over the past 12 months to September.

CoreLogic RP Data figures, meanwhile, had the area’s median house price at $549,000.

The aim of Jordan Spring was to provide affordable housing and a good location, said Arthur Ilias of Lend Lease communities.

“What we have delivered is a lifestyle for home buyers with a lot of amenities, open space facilities and buyers have responded,” the general manager said.

Ilias added that while the majority of buyers were families from Penrith, the estate also managed to attract people from other suburbs across Sydney due to its affordability.

“There is a real housing choice, we have varying lot sizes which result in varying prices – the entry price now is around $500,000 to $520,000 and it moves upwards from there, depending on the size of land,” he said.

Jordan Springs has several villages, parks, a grand town centre and a lake. Soon to be built are sporting fields and a large playground.
