Claims by American "Spruiker" Jordan Wirsz that the Australian housing market is set for 60% crash is overly pessimistic. Not only is the data against him but also his forecasts lack any substance. It appears that he may have his own agenda in mind by tempting Australian investors to sell up here and buy in the USA. His tactics are to make the USA property market and himself look better than the Australian Market by being pessimistic with these statements. Any Australian who follows his lead will lose out big time and they will only increase the coffers of Mr Wirsz. An example of one of his outlandish statements was that he states there are many Australians who have double mortgages. However these double mortgages relate to investors who have purchased a couple of investment properties, not Australians who are struggling to pay their home loan. Just remember, we are proud investor intelligent Australians not Americans.

Interesting comments Bruno. There are a lot of comments on the news article about this too. Quite a debate going on.

Yup, I don't think he's got much of a case, this Wirsz guy. Sounds like he likes the publicity (and selling his books, DVDs, seminars, and whatever else he has on offer).
