  How we collect data

Our database contains a variety of home loan and investment products from an extensive list of mortgage providers. The information is collected and maintained by our database administrator, who oversees the integrity and cleanliness of the data. The timeliness of our data is mainly reliant on our mortgage provider's cooperation to update their interest rates and product information. This is done through a weekly email that is sent to them, to which they respond with any relevant changes.

Where the data appears
The information supplied by the mortgage providers is input into our database, and this forms the basis of the mortgage comparison tables on our website and Your Mortgage Magazine. In addition, we draw on this database to rank Australian mortgages for our annual Mortgage of the Year Awards.

Free registration to lenders
We encourage mortgage providers to register their products free of charge. Once they have provided us with their product details, their products are listed in our database and respectively on the Your Mortgage website. The product information must be updated regularly by the mortgage provider for the listings to remain in our database and on the website.

Fields we include
We include a comprehensive range of fields to cater for all types of home loans including Standard Variable, Basic Variable, Introductory, Fixed, Equity Term, Line of Credit, All in One account loans, 100% offset account loans, Reverse Mortgages and Non-Conforming loans.

There are 8 sections for each loan product: 5 of which include product information, rates, features, terms and conditions, access and transaction costs; and 3 of which include special types of loans.

Mortgage providers included
We currently have a total of 84 mortgage providers, which include banks, non-bank lenders, and credit unions.
